Nige's Surgery - Update #14

We've had five nights at home now and Nige continues to improve. It's slow progress but each day is better than the previous. Nige isn't yet sleeping through the night and actually finds it more comfortable sleeping on the couch because of the support the back of the couch provides. His appetite continues to improve also, so I guess in time he'll gain back some of the weight that he's lost the first two weeks following surgery - 5kg (11lb). He gets tuckered out from a trip to town, so doesn't think he's ready to be back at church quite yet - hopefully next Sunday. It's been great to be back home and Nige has enjoyed and appreciated those who have visited during the week.

Today Keith came to visit from Foxton . . . coming to check up on his son. It was good to see Keith and I think he was pleased to see for himself that Nige is doing well.
