On Sunday afternoon Nige and I drove down to Palmerston North to visit Mum and Pete for their birthdays (Pete's was Friday and Mum's Saturday). Twenty minutes into the 2-hour drive it started raining and we began to wonder why we were heading South towards the rain clouds! But we got to enjoy this beautiful rainbow as we drove through Waipawa (and we could see the other end of it too)! It continued to rain light then heavy till we got to Mum and Pete's. Funny story . . . twenty minutes out from my parent's we got stuck behind a cattle truck and it was like there was a tap turned on every few minutes to drain away the bad stuff out the back of the truck, so we held back from the truck a bit and I asked the Lord to give us a heavy rain right before we arrived at my parents . . . and He answered my prayer, so we arrived with a clean car and not a smelly one from the truck's refuse!12 June 2010
