A Evening of Christmas with the Hendersons

We had our annual Christmas Dessert evening with the Hendersons on Sunday.  It was a lovely evening.  Natalie and I had talked about going out carolling to friends from church in their neighbourhood but the guys and the big kids weren't keen and they were very glad that it was raining most of the night.  We did go out for a drive to see some of the Christmas lights on people's homes and that was fun too.
Right before the camera took the photo Nige calls out, "Everyone look at Daniel!"  See his cute little face!!
Cool Christmas crackers that Natalie put together and choose little gifts to put inside for us all.
Natalie made these very yummy chocolate mousse desserts.  The cases were kind of like brandy snaps but thinner.  I'm sure the cases were fiddly to make but the end result looked and tasted great!  Then there was vanilla and jelly tip ice cream, and little pies down the end there, filled with fresh cherries and raspberries.
Phil gave Natalie some ear plugs for Christmas . . . in preparation for going to Parachute in January.
Phil receiving more $$ to go towards his iPhone savings.
Daniel got new shoes from Uncle Nige and Aunty Sereena
. . . and a new shirt
and from Mum and Dad he got a mini drum kit.  Natalie's ear plugs will come in handy here too!  Daniel loves playing the drums and there might be some real potential there one day.  Very cute!
