While we were in Taupo and having strong winds, Hastings was getting a lot of rain, with some serious flooding for a couple of the little coastal towns nearby. The little river behind our house gets flooded too, and a few days after our return the Regional Council came by in their little paddle boat to clear the water way of any debri. It's an interesting little boat!
