our apartment on the upper west side

We rented an apartment in the Upper West Side and we loved the location.  There weren't tons of tourists and so we got to observe real New Yorkers doing their regular thing . . . like, getting their morning Starbucks coffee, walking their tiny dogs in the mornings or late at night . . . plus we were just a few doors down from Meg Ryan's front door that was used in the movie!  :)

The apartment was real small but was all we needed and it had air conditioning which was such a relief after a day of walking the streets, going down to the subway (where it was hot and stuffy) and after climbing three flights of stairs to our fourth floor apartment.
