on the road again

On Saturday morning we headed down to Palmerston North to attend the funeral of a friend who passed away suddenly. It was very sad.

These ranges with snow on them are about 30 minutes south of Hastings, just out of Waipukurau.  It's these ranges that protect us in the Hawke's Bay from some of the bad weather that those south of the ranges often experience.

The Manawatu Gorge road is closed again due to another big slip so we had to take Saddle Road.

Saddle Road takes us right by the Windmill Farm, which is fun to see.
