Verity told us we should go to Disneyland's City Hall once we're in the gate and pick up some free buttons. They have all kinds available. I got a "Happy Birthday" and the guy wrote my name and age on it. Everyone else in our party (x6) got a button saying "I'm Celebrating". Josh and Michelle got a "Just Married" button, and Michelle got a "First Visit" button. It was very fun wearing the Happy Birthday button because I discovered that the Disneyland employees, including the Disney princesses, would say Happy Birthday to me whenever they noticed the button. AND even some Disneyland guests, well quite a few of them actually, said Happy Birthday to me too! It really made the day special! For a time during the day, Nige and I found ourselves separated from the group. We were lining up for Haunted Mansion and a Disney employee wished me a HB and then let us through to the front of the line. Very cool! So . . . if it's your birthday and you're at Disneyland go visit City Hall and get yourself a button!
I decided not to go on the Star Tours ride, so while the others did that I went and got some Fast Passes for us all and then rode the Astro Orbitor and took a photo of myself while flying high in the sky, round and round in circles. Afterwards I needed to sit for a moment. Sad, I know.
Me and Minnie
Our first ride on Splash Mountain . . . and yes, we got WET both times!!
Ahhh, the Mouse himself!
The fireworks display was SO cool!
The fireworks went for 20 minutes!
