shepherds' conference

Team New Zealand's meeting point at the conference . . . and lots of other's meeting point too!  There were three General Sessions that I was able to attend each day as a non-registered attendee.  These sessions are also open to Grace Church people to attend.  Nige joins me in the overflow seating in the gymnasium which has a big screen to see the preacher.  The other Kiwi wives on this trip, Liz Hohneck, Valmae Hohneck, Elvira Tomaselli and Michelle Powell came to these three General Sessions each day also, and while the men were served lunch and attended the Seminar Sessions each day, we drove to local malls for our lunches which also gave us opportunity to browse the shops.  Our good friend Dirk lent Nige and I the van (and the Towncar for some of the time too) so we had plenty of seats between us to transport those who needed a ride during conference time.
The men lining up for lunch.  The line actually went around the far left corner of the building, plus another long line joined the one in this picture, below the stairs where I took this photo from!
Nige chatting with two men from a church in Texas who were interested to know more about The Shepherd's Bible College.
We ate with Jon Rehurek (L) and Larry Loden (R) at the The Master's Seminary alumni dinner on the Friday night of the conference.  Nige was in seminary with these two men, served alongside them at Community Bible Church and worked with them in the structural engineering office also.  So fun to have this time with them at the dinner!

The theme at this year's conference seemed to be a country and western theme.  These are two of many decorative accents that were dotted around the campus.
