montgomery, texas

Texas, here we come!  Our first stop in Texas was Montgomery, where Ken and Kelli Ramey and Adam and Lisa Tyson are ministering at Lakeside Bible Church.  Nige preached in the morning at the two church services, as well as speaking to the high schoolers in the Sunday school hour.  In the evening, the band "Enfield" put on a concert at the church (they also led worship in the morning), so it was a great weekend to be with Lakeside Bible Church!

We stayed with Ken's parents, and had a wonderful time with them also.

They love birds and Bob had built a number of birdhouses which were dotted around the garden.  This is a woodpecker, hanging on for dear life, snacking.  And yes, their house backs on to a golf course.

Nige and I went for a little walk Saturday afternoon, just checking out the neighbourhood.  On our first attempt at going for a walk it started raining when we got to the end of the drive so we came back.  It rained hard for a while and so we went out for our walk a bit later on.  Despite the dark clouds, it was still fairly hot but there was a breeze so that helped.
