Today Tania took me to the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY - just over an hour's drive from their home. It was really neat. Lots to look at, lots to take in, and very interesting. It was awesome to see God's Word accurately on display in the exhibits. The museum starts with creation; how there was no sin in the beginning and then sin entered the world and the effects it had even on the animals and plant life and how sin now affects us today. Here is a small sample of what I saw.

This sign was in the first area of exhibits, which was basically laying the foundation from Scripture for all we were about to see.

Wow! What a challenge huh? This was one of the examples of the effect of sin in today's world.

A miniature scale of the ark, and the people on the rock there who didn't believe that God would send a flood. There was a video showing a satellite picture of the earth being slowly covered in water. It was shown in a way I had not thought about before and was quite amazing to think about how the WHOLE world was covered in water. I guess I wasn't thinking 'big picture' in the past.

The museum also had a planetarium and we saw a show called The Created Cosmos which was really amazing. Nige would have really enjoyed that part as he's done a bit of study on the galaxy etc when he preached from Psalm 19.
On the way home we stopped at GAP Outlet and got some great deals. Christmas shopping for 2010 has begun! :)
