This morning the children had to go to school to catch up on some their tests. Because of all the snow recently, the school has been closed several times and so they had missed several days of school. Tania, Matthew and I dropped them off and then did some shopping.

When Mark arrived home from work this evening we all went for a family drive so they could show me 'deer alley'. Rachel counted 47 wild deer tonight. Very cool! A lot people in these parts have guns and doing a lot of deer and wild turkey hunting.

Frankfort is the capital of Kentucky and so the State Capitol Buildings are here in Frankfort. I love seeing these old buildings. Next door was the Governor's residence - another very stately looking building. It even had a big red bow on it, above the front door! Maybe left over from Christmas, or maybe from Valentine's Day . . . not sure.

This huge outdoor clock was around the back, behind the Capitol building. All set up with red lighted hearts for Valentine's Day just gone.

A pretty tree on the grounds of the Capitol Building. I liked the snow that was sitting on the branches still. Very pretty. Today a lot of snow was melting. The Gordons were happy to see and feel the warm sunshine today . . . something which they've not seen or felt for several weeks now.
