Tuesday night we had dinner with the Lockie family - Steve and Tara; Kirk and Tiffany Myers with their girls Emily, Annie, Abbie; Tara's mom Glee; and John. Some of the family weren't able to be there but it was a great evening catching up with church friends from when we lived in LA. Even though its been a number of years since we've seen some of the family, conversations flowed so easily and it was almost like we'd just seen each other last week. It's awesome how the body of Christ is like that.

Friday I spent the afternoon with Lori Britten. It's so fun catching up with her. Her and Mark are another couple who we just slot right back in with. Actually most of our friends over here are like that. We love our LA friends! Beside Lori, is a new peach tree in their garden which is already starting to bloom . . . Spring is on it's way.

After Mark finished work and Nige's day at the TMAI symposium was finished we headed to Montrose to our favourite place to eat - The Black Cow Cafe. I recognised our waiter and commented to him that he's been working there a long time, and he said, "Yes, I've served you a number of times over the years." He recognised us too, even though we've not lived in Montrose for just over six years now - funny!

Nige had his favourite meal - Country Fried Steak with mashed potato. In NZ we call it crumbed schnitzel.

And my favourite meal is the Crispy Honey Chicken Salad. The ingredients are romaine lettuce, sliced almonds, red peppers, crumbed chicken served with a honey mustard dressing - Mmmm! All the meals are also served with a yummy focaccia bread.
