Russell Hohneck, Nige and I had the privilege of visiting Berean Bible Church in Arroyo Grande, CA again on this trip. Nige preached, Russell shared about the ministry at TSBC and I sung. After church there was a shared lunch with the church, which was great. The people at the church are so hospitable to us and we have enjoyed our visits to see them.
Nige and Russell in the front as we're driving North on 101 Freeway. Our friend Dirk, lent us two vehicles for us to use during our time in Los Angeles. We drove the Lincoln Towncar to Arroyo Grande. We had a little engine trouble along the way but then it came right. Sadly the van didn't do well this visit either and on our last night it died well and truly. We left it on a residential street in Burbank overnight and came the next morning to see that it got towed to Dirk's mechanic. The diagnosis was that the van needed a new engine and new transmission. Mind you, the van has done over 600,000 miles on the original engine so I guess it was going to die eventually. We just feel bad that it happened while we were using it. :(
