On Sunday night we invited some friends over to help with our Christmas decorating. First we had pizza for dinner. In this picture is (L-R): Michelle, Beatrice, Verity
and also Teresa and Beatrice.
Michelle put up our 4' tree in the 'downstairs lounge' (it's down one step! LOL) and did a great job decorating it, as well as decorating several spots around the house.
Verity and Bea decorated the 8' tree in the main lounge and did a wonderful job of stringing 750 lights on the tree!
Reuben, Verity's husband, was there helping too - even though the original plan was that he and Nige would watch a rugby game that we recorded earlier in the day. :)
This little 3' silver tree was the Shailer family tree when Nige was a boy growing up in Foxton. Nige put it up in one of the bedrooms and strung some white fairy lights on it. Nice!
Here we all are after a fun night and the decorating was all done. Right after this photo was taken Bea rushed out the door so she would make it home before 10 pm since she is on her Provisional drivers license. She made it with one minute to spare! :)
Having fun! We were lining up shortest to tallest but looking at this picture I'm not so sure that I'm the shortest . . . hmmm??? :)
The end result - a well-decorated tree!
We are SO early with decorating this year but I'm SO glad Nige encouraged me to get it done now because next month is going to be busy and now we get to just enjoy it all! If you're in the neighbourhood you're welcome to pop in for a peek! :)

IMPRESSIVE!!! I want to start now but Christmas here in Russia runs into the second week in January and by then we are more than ready to take down all the decor. Plus for the boys, TREE = PRESENTS which = two anxious boys asking me every minute how many more days until Christmas!!
