from summer to winter

About a week after we returned to New Zealand the whole country experienced a major cold snap, which brought snow to many parts of the country, including snow in Wellington, Levin, and Palmerston North where we both have family living.  Our closest snow though was on Te Mata Peak . . .
and on Mount Erin.  Both these photos are taken from the tennis courts on the Riverbend property.
I took this photo from Nige's office door looking towards Mt Erin.  Mmm, chilly!
And then the next week we had rain, rain, rain . . . and this beautiful rainbow - God's promise that "neither shall there again be a flood to destroy the earth" (Genesis 9).  Beautiful!
