back to los angeles

We flew from Boston to LA and stayed the night at a hotel down by LAX.  The next morning we caught the Van Nuys FlyAway.  Reuben and Verity Pickering picked us up and we headed to Newhall to spend some time with the Watson family.

Reuben getting comfy in the armchair.  The Lord has blessed the Watsons greatly through families at Placerita Baptist Church giving or lending them various household items for the time they're in LA while Grant is studying at TMS.

The Lord provided this car for the Pickerings to use.  It doesn't have air conditioning but it runs well.  Oh and it has no grill on the front!

After lunch Reuben and Verity took us down to LAX.  The Watsons all came out to say our final goodbyes.  It was so great to see where Grant and Kirsty are living, and see how God has provided for all their needs upon their arrival.

Back in LA - always great to be back to the familiar.  This is the 405 Freeway, with the San Fernando Valley coming into view (below the layer of smog, that is).
What a GREAT holiday we had!!!  We loved being with old friends, seeing new places, trying new things, and just enjoying the time together, all in celebration of our 20 years of marriage.  I would have to say it was one of our best!
