twenty years

Check us out back in 1990!!  We had just begun to date and the wedding we were going to was our first official date.  Eleven months later Nige was proposing to me . . . and I said YES!

Today is our 20th wedding anniversary!!  Monday night Nige's meeting was cancelled so he took me out for a lovely dinner together at Pipi Cafe in Havelock North.

Tuesday we went to Palmerston North, and Nige went to Foxton, to visit our parents.  Mum surprised us with this heart shaped coffee flavoured cake that she'd made for us for our anniversary.

And today, Wednesday, Mum and Pete surprised us with these flowers by getting Phil and Natalie to buy them and deliver them on their behalf.  Spoilt aye!  Little did we know, but the envelope Mum gave me to bring back for Natalie yesterday was money to pay for the flowers!  Sneaky!  :)
Our recent holiday on the East Coast of the US was our anniversary gift to each other, and it really was a WONDERFUL trip together, and we have many wonderful memories of that time.
I'm so thankful to the Lord for giving me a wonderful husband, who loves and cares for me very much, who loves the Lord with his whole heart and chooses to live his life to serving the Lord.  I'm thankful for the privilege of being Nige's wife, and serving the Lord alongside him.  Love ya hun!
