friends in los angeles

We had dinner with long-time friends Steve and Elizabeth Roth and their children Carter, Katy and Jack.  This is the first time, probably since we before we moved back to NZ, that both Nige and I together have shared a meal with the Roths, so it was lovely for all of us to catch up together.
We tagged along with Kirsty Watson when she went to Costco, and we bought a few things for the  upcoming 'Kiwi Dinner'
The Watson family looking over their balcony at us.  Well actually, they were waiting for Grant to get up there with the key and let them in the apartment!
During our almost three weeks in Los Angeles we got together with LOTS of friends and ministry partners and I/we forgot to take photos of pretty much all of those occasions, but here's the lowdown:
Nige had early morning or mid-afternoon meetings with Mike Penberthy, Scott Ardavanis, John Richard, Rich Mumper, Mark Tatlock, Chris Mueller, Jerry Wragg, Ken Ramey, Adam Tyson, Larry Loden, Jon Rehurek, Rick Holland, Morris Brooks, plus a bunch of other men during the TMAI symposium and Shepherds' Conference.
Then we had meals or coffee with Mark & Lisa Tatlock (our hosts for this visit), Mark & Lori Britten, Richard & Judy Lee, Scott & Patty Ardavanis, Teresa Prentice & Kelssa Wharrie, Dan and Katie from TMC who are coming out to NZ in May/June, Lisa LaGeorge, Brent & Kristin Eldridge, Steve & Elizabeth Roth, Reuben & Verity Pickering, Stephanie Wolcott, Steve & Tara Lockie, Kirk & Tiffany Myers, Paul & Karen Long (who will be our hosts in July-Sept when Nige will be writing his dissertation), Grant & Kirsty Watson, Berean Bible Church potluck lunch, Dirk Van Rensburg.
On the Friday night of Shepherds' Conference a dinner is hosted each year for TMS alumni and we greatly  enjoyed that evening also, catching up some of the men Nige studied alongside of at The Master's Seminary.
We thank the Lord for bringing all these people into our lives and for the way He uses them to encourage and support us in ministry.
