Winter sports have begun for the year. Here's Jessie in action getting the ball down to the goal circle and then gets in there herself and shoots the goal. Jessie plays for Hastings Christian School and her team did well in the trials and are in a high grade this year, which has brought along higher grade refs too, which is great for the girls. They are all playing well together, and the rewards are high scoring games.
Next is Daniel's game. His little team of 6-7 kids start off with ball handling skills and then they play a little game. Very cute to watch, and he plays so much like Jacob did when we was this age too (5 years old).
Jacob also plays for Hastings Christian School. His dad is the team's coach and their home field is at Riverbend, which is very convenient for us. We had just arrived at Jacob's game after catching a little of each of Jessie's and Daniel's games, in time to catch this shot on camera. As good a kick as it was, unfortunately it didn't quite make it in. He made up for it a few weeks later and I think got four goals in one game! His team play well together too and we enjoy watching Jacob's games too.
