moving in

This is our new house, in Murrieta (e-mail me if you'd like our mailing address).

It was an exciting day when our container arrived!

A second truck arrived, along with five men to unload the container.  There was a lift on the back of the second truck to bring all the stuff from the container down to the ground.  Nice!

It took them about an hour to unload everything into our driveway and garage.

And then another 3-4 hours to take everything into the house and unpack the boxes.  We are very thankful they took all the bubble wrap and empty boxes away with them!

We had access to the house a week prior to the container arriving, and during that week the church gave us a pantry full of food, as well as a bunch of cleaning items to get us started . . . and a great start it is!  These two ladies are the church secretaries and they delivered the food and helped me put it all away.  Shannon is on the left, and Zulma is on the right.  They have been a blessing to us both since we arrived!

This is our dining room.

This is Nige's office in the downstairs bedroom.  His books will go upstairs in the loft.

This is our kitchen - I love the big island . . . and the double ovens!

This is our lounge (or living room, as it is called here).
As you can see, we are making good progress with getting things in place.  There have been several ladies come by and help me with the putting away of things, which has been SO helpful!  Another friend is coming by next week to help me hang pictures and mirrors on the walls.
Oh, and one more room . . . our guest room!  We are already looking forward to friends from NZ coming to stay - one at the end of February, two in March, and four in April.  How fun!  The "Shailer Motel (US)", previously in Montrose, CA is now up and running again in Murrieta, CA!  Let us know when you want to come visit :)
