highlights of disneyland

Sleeping Beauty Castle
Keith, Jason and Wendy purchased a CityPASS for Southern California, which was three days at Disneyland (and they could visit both parks on any one day), one day at SeaWorld and one day at Universal Studios.  Doing it this way gave them a savings of 25% on their tickets.  They had 14 days to use the tickets.
Paradise Pier at Disney's California Adventure
Entering into Cars Land, we stopped for a family picture.
 Riding Mickey's Fun Wheel . . .
way up, VERY high!
Jason enjoying the Mad Tea Party ride, or more commonly known as "the teacups".  Fun, but don't spin me too fast!  :)
Father and son at Radiator Springs, gearing up to have a race.
We all joined the 'single rider' line, and Nige and I ended up in the same car!
Flo's Cafe serves burger and fries type meals.
DJ's Dance 'n Drive, on Route 66, in Cars Land
We all had a blast on Toy Story Midway Mania - a crazy turning, energetic, competitive, fun ride!
Jason and Wendy picked up "First Time to Disneyland" buttons, and since we were kind of celebrating Keith's 75th birthday from earlier in the year (just by being together again) we selected a "Happy Birthday" button for him.  It was SO fun how all day people in the park - staff and visitors alike - would greet him with Happy Birthday Keith, as they walked by (as in the photo above) or as he got on a ride etc.  I think it made his day, as it did ours!  :)
Sadly, we missed out on seeing the fireworks at Disneyland because of the Halloween event going on, but we did get to see the "World of Color" over at California Adventure - where they use water, lights and fire and show Disney characters in the water spraying up, all in time to Disney's amazing music.  Very cool!
