During the school holidays, between terms 2 and 3, Jacob and Jessie came for a sleepover. Nige picked them up Sunday afternoon while I was at choir practice and they came back and set up the slot car track.
After dinner we played Polyconomy together. It's similar to Monopoly but instead of buying property you buy businesses and advertising. There's a Prime Minister, and there are taxes to pay. The kids enjoy playing this game with us. The goal is always to beat Uncle Nige . . . it didn't happen this time though.
The kids being silly.
At the end of the week Jessie will be turning 11 but as we are going away that day we gave her her birthday gift early. A Minnie Mouse t-shirt and a pink knitted hoodie.
Nige and the kids got up at 6:00 am to watch the All Whites play in the World Cup.
