motel shailer open for business

Last Monday and Tuesday Mum and Pete stayed with us.  It was their birthdays and they'd come for a visit as we didn't really have time to go down there before we head away.
Tuesday night Phil and Natalie and the kids came over for dinner to celebrate the birthdays.
Natalie roasted potatoes, kumera, pumpkin and red onion and I made the delicious Skillet Cranberry Pork Chops, along with Nigel's must-have . . . peas.
I made the amazing Toblerone Cheesecake recipe (courtesy of Chantelle Nuñez, which I think I will post the recipe for next).  It's so delicious and rich that not everyone can eat a whole slice.
Pete (aka Oscar to the grandkids) opening his birthday prezzie - yes, we made him wait a whole day before giving him his prezzie (he was very patient).
Mum (aka Grammy to the grandkids) opening her birthday prezzie.
Mum and Pete park their cars in the parking lot of the garden centre next door to them and often people park in their spaces.  When we were in Old Town Sacramento earlier in the year we saw these signs with their names on so got them for their birthdays.
A garden banner for Mum with a Thomas Kinkade cottage on it.
